General Instructions

1. Manuscripts pertaining to all specialities of medicine, hospital administration and Medical education technology can be sent for consideration of publication.
2. Papers should be sent exclusively to ‘Somaiya Medical Journal’ [SMJ] and should not be simultaneously sent to any other journal for consideration of publication.
3. All manuscripts will be subjected to initial review by the Editorial Board followed by two rounds of double blinded review by experts.
4. Papers will be accepted and published on the understanding that they have not been and will not be published elsewhere.
5. Authors should obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) if their papers contain figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere.
6. Where ever required the permission of the institutional ethics committee must be obtained before carrying out the study.
7. Authors should declare any possible conflict of interest pertaining to the study and are also required to reveal all sources of financial support.
8. All authors must sign the copyright transfer form and submit a scanned copy of the same.
9. The Editors retain the usual right to modify the style and length of a contribution (major changes being agreed upon with the corresponding author) and to decide the time of publication.
10. The journal does not charge any fees for processing and publication.
